Reviewed by Robin Thompson This is one of Terry's earlier albums, from 1999 in fact, and consists of eight piano-led instrumental worship tracks. This might make the album sound a little light on material, but three of the tracks are medleys and there are no tracks under four and a half minutes - the resulting effect is almost an hour long CD. Colorado-based Terry is, of course, an oft seen figure on US Christian TV and this set features mainly his own songs with a few of non-originals such as David Morris's "Forever O Lord" and Adrian Howard and Pat Turner's "Salvation Belongs To Our God". The first track, the aforementioned David Morris song, suffers a little from some rather mechanistic backing which sits awkwardly with the more fluid piano. The second track, Terry's own "Be Still My Soul", is an improvement and sounds more natural. However, as I worked my way through the album I rather tired of the same style of piano playing that infuses each song, building to the same inevitable crescendo each time. It reminds me more of a cabaret act that a worship CD. As a result, I don't think this album really works. If you want a meditational worship piano led CD, then Michelle Higgs or Regi Stone are better options, who both show how to combine the simple with the inspirational.
