The debut album from 1984 was produced by the legendary Alan Shacklock, who managed to capture accurately the sheer awesome power of The Alarm. Packaged here with b-sides such as "The Bells Of Rhymney" and "The Chant Has Just Begun", definitive versions of "Blaze Of Glory", "Howling Wind" and "Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke" have never sounded so full of energy and passion. By now, The Alarm had come to the attention of the world, thanks to support slots with U2, then touring the 'War' album. Stardom beckoned, and the band's sound was about to change.
