We live in a world where people live in the moment and are easily swayed by the superficial face of fame, music, media. Conversely the Christian life is about "living for the ministry" and bringing the Gospel out, as London-based rap veteran Blessed Man speaks courageously in his opening track "Ministry". It's also powerful when a Christian artist shows their life is about more than just making music and Blessed Man is one such example, visiting prisons and doing his part to fight knife crime in the capital with music and videos encouraging young people to drop the knife and live their life - a message clear from songs like the jump-up "Bounced Back". The album always points the listener to the truth and reality of Christ and the Cross, with songs like "Worthy Is The Lamb" bringing more than one "gospel hook." Musically the album mostly has quite a heavy and bassy edge but without overwhelming the message or the lyrics. Ultimately this is a timely project especially considering the violence that's happening on our city streets.
