Nobody produces this kind of melodic metal better than Dino and John Elefante. Those who don't care for the genre will find Trust' hopelessly stylised but within the well-trodden parameters of the form The Brave are pretty hot. Lead singer Randy Roberts has a raspingly expressive voice, Stayce Roberts and Freddie Tierra lay down a satisfyingly dense set of guitar parts and bassist Stevie Irwin offers some unexpected twists to the standard bass runs. Lyrics range from the mundane ("Following You") to the imaginative ("Dirty Water") and, when on the closer, there's a momentary move away from the power chords on the acoustic-picked title track the band show themselves to be far from poodle head slouches.
