This CD arrived just in time for me to programme it onto 106.6 Christian Voice and unlike so many albums it had four radio friendly tracks on it plus some other great songs. The Carnies consist of Jeff Carnie, Carole Carnie, Richard Riley and Debra Griffin who have a commercial gospel sound that is varied enough to range from Afro-Caribbean through to more traditional responses that you would expect to hear on a modern version of the Bells Of Joy. The songs that jumped out at me included "Lord I Love You", a soft CCM number, "African Freedom Song" sung with all the African fervour that is needed by that song (it is also a great song for Radio Christian Voice in Zambia), "Blessed By The Lord", a soft gospel song, and "He Looked Beyond My Faults" which is a wonderful sounding version of "Amazing Grace" with a great piano backing, just right for a late night show. This is a quality Christian album that needs to be heard.
