The Clear are a three man alternative music outfit from Palmerston North, New Zealand, offering a punk-based angry, pulsating ten track outburst of rage. Those sold on the genre may have vibrated to the mid-'80s New Zealand band Thin Red Line from which The Clear was born. Not the 'harshest razor across the guts' punk you'll ever hear though quick stabs of coarse language will ensure controversy. Main complaint? No lyric sheet, and that's ridiculous earning a loss of a "star" in rating. Strong point? A stab of confrontational, real - life Christianity, a million miles from thinly disguised pseudo-evangelical selfish slop. The Master might find much of the attitude more like what He was getting at. A muscular, no-holds-barred set.
