It's been about three years since The Crossing offered us the delightful 'Dancing At The Crossroads'. This time the lads and lassies of the most authentic Celtic combo in Chicago explore some new territory adding a didgeridoo and dulcimer to their seemingly never ending list of instruments they master. Some fine sets of tunes, reels, jigs and highland ballads come with feeling and passion. Standouts include the beautiful "End Of The Day", a ballad to melt the heart of the most grizzled highlander, the Glenn Kaiser penned "Someone Who Knows Your Name" and Tony Krogh's cool wee tunes "Sound Of Sleat/A Swarm Of Saints". When will someone bring these dudes to this land? If it is authentic Celtic music you want, completely acoustic (no computer jiggery pokery here) then The Crossing are without doubt one of the finest outfits that you can spend your shekels on.
