"The Cruzarz are on a crusade to deliver the finest Christian Rock music that you have ever heard." This, their second album since they formed in 2000, continues to provide "a positive message framed in a rock idiom." Certainly the willingness is there, but the whole doesn't yet add up to the sum of the parts. Rock idiom is okay, but some tracks are more of a rock stereotype with a country undertone and some very tired riffs being trotted out. The band only comes
solidly together on the one blues track, "Never Do Know". The (baritone) lead singer regularly falls out of tune, though the harmony singers are very good, with the exception of 'D'Proof' which included some curious out of tune yodelling which I could have done without. There are some good guitar solos, but these don't always sit well with the rhythm guitars. There are some very professional elements to the album production, which raised expectations on the actual content.
