A kids' album from 2001 by that dispenser of donuts, Rob Evans. It is over five years since I used to play my guitar in Sunday school, so I'm a little out of touch with children's worship songs. As I listen to this I try to imagine how I would have responded to this collection then. The 15 songs here take only half an hour to whiz through. The only song familiar to me is the old classic "Walking And Leaping" ("Peter And John Went To Pray"). It's all led with plenty of enthusiasm, songs that aim to teach truth. I could certainly imagine this being useful as a resource and trying to track down some guitar chords to play in Sunday school. Whether I'd have wanted my own children listening to this non-stop in the car I think would be a different matter! Some of the "spontaneous" interaction between Donut and his kids is a little syrupy though.
