Oh dear. When Judi Darby reviewed an earlier album in this series I thought she might have been a trifle hard in her criticism. Having just sat through this project and experienced its mind numbing banality I am forced to the conclusion that Judi was rather over generous. This whole series is a sincere but painful example of the church's cultural addiction to mediocrity. This particular album, with the stereotyped formula of a jolly master of ceremonies Rob Evans (otherwise known as the Donut Man) and bunch of sweet voiced kids trotting out "songs that teach, songs that praise (trade mark)" as the blurb goes is immensely dull.

Product Description
God's Army provides an excellent analogy from which you can teach children several important spiritual truths: of the Lord's infinite greatness and might; the benefits of enlisting in God's army; and not to be afraid because the victory is ours through the Lord.
I grew up on the donut man's praise songs. I still remember
them to this day. They taught me about Bible stories and
praising the Lord. This is a wonderful album for children
and I encourage christians to buy this for their children.
