A big buzz is growing about this four-piece from Sheffield and with their studied, thoroughly British sound which takes in influences from everyone from the Kaiser Chiefs to Brian Ferry yet emerges excitingly fresh. The best cuts include the opener built around a biting guitar riff, a so-catchy "Digging Deep" with its naggingly memorable "oh oh oh oh I'm digging deep" chorus and the choppy tempoed "The Course Of True Love" and all would sound great on mainstream radio. And maybe one day soon they'll get it, for despite in-your-face lyrics like "My God You Are Beautiful" and "Forgiveness" this engaging debut gives off such an exhilarating , fun-loving vibe only the most virulently anti-Christian radio producers could deny them. But mainstream success is for the future. Get in on the ground floor and search out this CD. If you thought all Christian pop rock was American bands with Creed-style vocalists, this debut from the league of Gentlemen will surprise and delight you.
