Having included them on previous solo projects, Californian singer/songwriter Jeff Kepple has decided to let his family get full credit on his latest release as daughters Claire, Kelsey and Natalie join their father on this home-grown recording of 11 self-penned songs. Whilst this is a deliberately stripped-down affair with a single acoustic guitar as the core instrument, this is nonetheless a remarkably varied release that makes best use of added features such as Kelsey's violin on the jaunty opener "Not Over You" and Natalie's cello on the experimental instrumental "Gravel Walk Variation". Elsewhere, some gorgeous harmonies lift the hymn-like "Maker Of The World" onto another level whilst the Kepples' faith is further reflected in the likes of "Closer" which features Jeff's own considerable vocal talents. Staying true to the album's title, this is a charmingly relaxed and endearing release which shows yet another side to the output of this talented artist and his family.
