Christmas, the season when nostalgia, commercialism and faith are mixed together in a potent brew of self indulgence and stress. And the season when musical tastes diverge like no other. Generally the music we like to listen to is the stuff that reminds of happy Christmases past. By this reasoning for someone out there this CD will push all the right buttons. It is a British product, but aimed at the US market. 26 innocent Christmas hymns and songs are given the muzak-style lush orchestra and choir arrangements that the Americans seem to love so much. The saving grace is at least there is only 34 minutes of it.
