From Monterey County, California come this punk band. "You Don't Represent Me" takes aim at the Republican Party, whose seemingly vice-like grip on the American Church continues to wed mainstream Christianity to corporate interests at the expense of the poor, and The Lonely Revolts' message cannot come soon enough. All the more disappointing, then, that this is not a record that will gain much exposure, due to the pretty abysmal production values shown in its creation. Parts are poorly mixed and out of time with each other, and when the band expands beyond just acoustic guitars and vocals the results are even worse - the piano on "Peace And Safety" being a prime example. With a little help, this album could have made real waves, so let's hope that next time the band find a producer to partner with, and get their message out in a more professional way. It's important that somebody does.
