A not at all bad album from a Hastings four piece who started out as a worship band in 2003 but have now become a more original group with material blending modern rock with blues and funk. Lead singer and composer Ian Edwards has an unusual voice, a bit like Jon Bon Jovi on helium, but it works well on most of the songs while the arrangements, full of chugging guitars and twiddly synth if not startlingly original are well executed. Probably the most interesting cut is "As I Gaze Out" with a choppy rhythm, some nice wah-wah guitar and a song reflecting on how God was walking with us through life even before we noticed him. It will be fascinating to see how this young group develop over the next year or so.
