This should exactly fit the bill in many situations. 20 well loved carols, performed professionally and sympathetically by choir and organ. Produced by Christopher Norton and recorded at St Cuthberts Church, Edinburgh. A good sound, full-bodied without being echo-ey. A few of the arrangements are new but all are deeply sensitive to the material and very easy listening. The choir, conducted by John Langdon, is more than adequate, although traditionalists might miss the ethereal sounds of boys' voices. The combination of well known tunes and wonderful Christian words in our carols can be a great springboard to praise and worship. It's a shame no words are included as the CD just begs you to join in.
