I remember buying this superb album nearly 30 years ago, to get it again in CD is a real bonus. The Stanley Brothers were one of the very top bluegrass duos, here we have Carter Stanley on lead vocal/guitar, Ralph Stanley vocal/5 string banjo, long time associate George Shuffler on mandolin/bass, and George also joins in for some superb trios. Some terrific stuff here. "Daniel Prayed", "I'll Meet You In Church Sunday Morning" and "White Dove" which they previously recorded for Columbia in the early 50s. Very sad to think that Carter Stanley died a couple of years after this was released. Happily, Ralph has continued in bluegrass music, nurturing such raw talent as Ricky Skaggs and the late Keith Whitley. A superb album.
