Speaking about this album The Wedding's vocalist Matt Shelton said, "'No Direction' means cutting ties with the idea that you can prepare your life in such a way to keep you from danger. As C S Lewis said, it's an illusion of safety. We are meant to live life unabashed and free, and this can only happen in the face of danger; which to most is the idea of not knowing where you are going." The band play punchy punk rock and really hit home with "Hang On Love", with an irresistibly catchy chorus and wonderful multi-layered vocals, and thus starts the most interesting middle section to an album that has been heard coming from Tooth & Nail Records in quite a while. "The Widest Ocean" plunges down into low-fi emotionally driven cries from lead singer, Matt Shelton. This is followed by the delicate "Mors TuaNos Vita", possibly the most interesting song on the album, which eventually erupts into a chorus of voice and guitar. For Christian rock music in a post-emo world, this is imaginative enough to win The Wedding some new fans and keep hold of their old ones; an enjoyable record.
