Having been involved in gigging under various band names over the years, this is the first full-length album for Richmond, Virginia-based Thre3. Their brand of DIY pop-punk fits well with the ethos of the Raven Faith Records label, whose mission is to promote creative, DIY bands with a focus on Jesus. This album is very much in the pop-punk mould bringing to mind the likes of early Green Day or Blink 182. All the elements are there from distortion laden power chords to driving bass lines and pummelling drum beats and the strength of the band is definitely in the fast paced, driving punk tracks such as opener "All This Noise". The low budget DIY production fits with the raw punk vibe on the faster paced tracks but when they slow it down towards the middle of the album on tracks like "Because", the imperfections in timing and tuning stand out more and grate on the ears. At their best, Thre3 make great, feel-good pop-punk that would stand up against the best in the business with "Right To Feel" the stand out example for me. The best tracks from this album would make a great EP but as a full-length album there are too many filler tracks that drag it down.
