Soft and smooth biblical rapping, mixed with soulful melodies is how Tint Man has come up with his own unique sound. There are also a couple of old skool tracks in the classic hip-hop style complete with mellow drum loops and some skilful record scratching. These tracks were quite earthy, organic and a breath of fresh air from some of the more commercially manufactured music on the market. I really enjoyed these and wish more rappers chose this style. Don't judge this CD by the cover either. The design doesn't do the music justice and when I first read the title and saw the cover, I almost thought it could be a spoken word CD. This debut album from Tint Man is very good and has hints of Motown, but I sense the artist does have a lot more untapped talent and room for improvement and maturing on the musical and production side. Having said that, I'm sure many long hot summer evenings will be complimented by this CD. I may even buy it myself.
