Who said white men can't rap? Tom Logan and Olly Purchase from Brighton blend hip-hop rapping and acoustic melodies, clearly delivered and beautifully harmonised with an indie pop sound. It is very satisfying to hear such originality in a debut album. Their poetic lyrics give some witty observations on life, like on the Cross Rhythms radio hit "Love At The Disco", that are both touching and optimistic. They are full of fun and their catchy songs communicate excitement. In Christian music it is relatively rare to hear an album that is so novel and experimental. Musicians and labels are loathe to take risks and end up producing too much of "'the same old same old"'. I am delighted to report that this dynamic duo utterly break the mould. One of the cleverest albums of the year.
