This volume features Wayne Scott Farley on guitar and his version of Police's "Message In A Bottle" is stunning. The fastest acoustic guitar playing this side of Keaggy and a plaintive vocal giving a song about isolation a poignancy that must have touched prisoners' lives. You get a male choir this time for "Are You Ready" (better than the women on Volume 2!) and there's a lot of fun as the band teach the men the parts they should sing! Sometimes these guys are so blunt in their preaching! Imagine singing to a bunch of prisoners about Jesus returning like a thief in the night and throwing in the aside, "Y'all know what a thief is like don't ya?". The ministry at the end of the concert is also straight down the line. For those receiving Jesus, there is a firm but gracious gospel being preached but this band have the realisation that unless the Holy Spirit breaks into the lives of those who respond then they won't survive as Christians in prison.
