The Cheshire-based singer/songwriter previously fronted the electro orientated Tall Trees but now weighs in with her solo debut. Kicking off with a solo bass riff that promises much as it insinuates itself into the melody of "Touch The Air" provided by Trace's "rock chick" vocals, this song gradually builds as guitar, drums and keyboards are added in towards the chorus crescendo which asks God for "the way to go" to be clearly shown. Thus commences a promising debut EP. But perhaps the question in this first track is the key to the future. The three song EP (the fourth track is a different edit of "Touch The Air") demonstrates a considerable talent both in vocal, lyrical and instrumental ability coming together to offer a taster of what can be provided live or reflected on a full album. Some uncertainty about 'Trinity''s musical direction is evident. Is this a straightforward rock offering with its roots in the '80s as on "Some Day"? Or is this an experimental sound to be developed further as on "Trust", with its violin adding an additional splash of colour to the song? But it's still a debut which bodes well for the future for Mrs Taylor.

"Trinity" was a 'paving the way' project for me. Other than
being the word to describe the Christian God as Triune in
nature, it is also about three aspects of me and styles of
music I love to explore. One day I intend to do a Celtic
based project but the album, due out September 2014, will be
electro-acoustic based, influences being Florence + The
Machine and Muse as examples. TRINITY helped me to realise
the direction I want my first album project to focus on -so
it has been great for that reason too.
