Four guys, yet unsigned, from around Belfast have self-produced and home-recorded a set of songs with simple lyrics and music definitely from a heart of flesh. This attractive mini album, has six original songs and a version of Matt and Beth Redman's "Blessed Be Your Name", perhaps included as a spiritual reference point. The CD opens in a somewhat languid and hypnotic fashion with the title tracks, partly underscored by Mark Rankin sounding a little like The Cure's Robert Smith (no bad thing in my book). In fact the jangling guitars, echoing bands like New Order, are a plus point. The sad and introspective "Lately I'm Sinking" moves on mood-wise to "Through It All" and "You'll Find Me". "Blue Sky Dreaming" further lifts the musical mood with a bright sounding acoustic guitar. A promising debut.
