Kent-based Chris Hansen is UnderCurrent and he's succeeded admirably in making a three-song CD which rises far above the usual demo standards of one-man-and-a-computer efforts. With slight Snow Patrol and Radiohead influences, he's come up with a shuffling, rather haunting sound on the opening song "Keep Your Thoughts" and although his vocals aren't brilliant they perfectly suit the mood and atmosphere of the song. Unfortunately the second and third songs ("No-one" and "Close") are too close to the mood and feel of the first to be completely effective but this is still a pretty impressive debut.
