With 'Discography' we are presented with the complete recorded works of this Idaho-based three piece. In addition, a smattering of previously unreleased songs, acoustic versions and live tracks are thrown into the mix. The band describes their output as Jesus Christ hardcore, but this is hardcore with an accessible pop edge. At times, hints of Green Day and Rancid can be heard amongst the 41 tracks. The tempo and energy is maintained across the majority of the disc, only dropping during the acoustic tracks towards the end. It is a perfect way to see how the sound of uniSEF has progressed over the years. Highlights include "Bones", a retelling of Ezekiel's story, and the bass-driven "Ransom". There is also a hilarious version of "Hope" in the vocal style of Chipmunks! As might be expected there is a real variation in the quality of production as tracks make the transition from demo to full album versions, but none of the material is difficult to listen to. A complete listen to the recording straight through is challenging, but uniSEF have produced a raft of catchy tunes during their existence that grow on you with each listen and provide a full introduction to this solid punk outfit.
