This four-song demo is primarily intended to sell Miss Woodward to Christian concert promoters/record companies and in this respect she's not a bad prospect. A singer in the mould of Alison Moyet, Vanessa is deep and nasally but gifted. However, the actual content of this tape isn't anything to get excited about. The title track is catchy enough but the remaining songs, all Heartbeat covers, leave Vanessa sounding as if she is caught in a mid-eighties time warp whilst the musicianship and production struggle to remain average. Unless you're hard up for a female vocalist I'd give this one a miss.
