This host of fine bluegrass pickers and singers (Joe Val & The New England Bluegrass Boys, Good Ol' Persons - great name!, Liz Meyer, White Mountain Bluegrass, Bob Paisley & The Southern Gates and a heap more) sound like they should have been recorded in Kentucky rather than Holland! Pure and simple country gospel, purely acoustic and crystal clear is what's on offer here. Great harmonies and precision picking from some very fine musos here, with real "cryin' in yer beer" ballads like "Man In The Middle" and clog-igniting hyperspeed bluegrass hoe downs like only them good ol' boys can play. No surprises here but if pure country gospel is your cup of Mountain Dew, the, as they say in Holland, "This here's for you and your kin pardner!" ...Err?
