A compilation of tracks by artists with whom you will be familiar (Avalon, Bebo Norman, Hillsong Chapel) together with some newer acquaintances. Through a number of very different styles, the album sets out to, as the title suggests, "awaken our souls". The Robbie Seay Band kick off with the anthemic rock title track; Audrey Assad's "Everything Is Yours" is arguably the highlight with a dynamic piano-driven song; while the album closes with two live tracks, first the hugely popular "Stronger" from Hillsong Chapel followed by "Jesus Paid It All" from Kristian Stanfill. Overall, this is a reasonable collection of tracks but most are available elsewhere and several years old.
