If you crave the words and tunes of the classic hymn then this compilation is for you. And if at the same time you love the sound of a modern worship "band" rather than an older style organ accompaniment then this album captures that for you too. Listen once more to the anthems of "Crown Him With Many Crowns" or "How Great Thou Art" or let the words of "Blessed Assurance" or "When I Survey" speak to your heart the gospel truths that can sometimes be absent in some of the more modern songs of worship. These songs are performed and recorded live and so you get that sense of being a part of the congregation as you join in and sing along. Although the album gives no credits at all to the musicians and singers and nor does it list the instruments involved, it is clearly a modern worship "band" that are leading these hymns and not a traditional organ. And this for me is where it succeeds in crossing both traditional hymns of worship with the more modern worship sounds we hear much of today.
