A quirky Christmas compilation put together by prolific producer/guitar ace Lanny Cordola. The opening track with an Elizabethan madrigal-style version of Bach's "Minuet" is about as far away from "In Your Face" as it's possible to get, but then Lanny has this strange idea that albums demonstrating how astonishingly versatile he is make fascinating listening. Next track up features "Silent Night" transformed into a jazz opus, followed by Chris Lizotte sounding very uncomfortable on an acoustic version of the trad carol "Still Still Still". If the supremely talented Chris Lizotte is wasted, so too is Sandra Stephens. Dance buffs who drool at her work with Scott Blackwell will hardly recognise her doing a version of "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day". The style hopping means the album utterly lacks any continuity and though one can applaud the musicianship on display and the lack of the usual Christmas album cliches, it still comes over as al ill-conceived album Lanny put together with whatever singers cared to drop by the studio.
