We missed this one during the holiday season but it's worth noting that LA-based Dream Records have released this eight song compilation. "The Sound Of Christmas" by Satellites And Sirens is excellent while Cindy Cruse Ratcliff shows just why the veteran singer is so highly regarded and her stripped back version of "O Holy Night" with a gentle piano and vocal arrangement is very touching. There is also another version of the evergreen carol by New Hope Oahu though it's their "Glorious Cross" which is stronger, though it has to be said that this Easter song is out of place on a Christmas compilation. David Thulin does a remix of "Carol Of The Bells" featuring worship man Steve Hare and all in all this is a reasonable, if short, celebration of Christmas.
