This interesting album comes from the King label from Cincinnati, who for 20 years from the late 40s onwards recorded mainly country and R&B in almost equal quantities. Now that reissue CDs have hit the UK for only £7.99, I came across this oddball collection comprising some fine, old time country artists like the Baily Brothers, Granddad Jones and Wayne Raney. But where the album scores best is some obscure southern gospel artists like Brother Claude Fly and Shannon Grayson who really let rip with some 'mighty fine' revival style music.
