Intriguingly, several artists on the Blues compilation also turn up on New Country though in truth Acappella and Steve Grace don't really belong to either category! Plenty of good tracks from 'real' country acts like Ken Holloway and Bruce Carroll while others, like Carolyn Arends and Ashton, Becker & Dente have only a slight country tinge. But like the blues set this is not for purists and if you have only a few of the 21 (yep, 21) tracks here you might want to purchase and find out why country's hip again.
