A collection of encouraging songs designed to bring inspiration to the listener from legends like Rance Allen and Darwin Hobbs and also a few newer names. And that's the issue here; so you get a patchy collection which is full of good intentions but there's too much clichéd filler to make this standout from other gospel compilations. In these days of digital downloads, I'd cherry pick the best like the brilliant "If I Be Lifted Up" by The Anointed Pace Sisters which is definitely worth 99p of your hard earned. Same goes for Dietrick Hadden's "Don't Leave Me Now" and there's a great duel from Shirley Murdoch and Kelly Price doing "Keep Loving Me". And of course, you can't beat a bit of Rance Allen and so "You Don't Know" is a joy. But ultimately 'God Cares For U' is a bit of a mixed bag.
