Stryper. Arguably the most famous - or infamous - of Christian rock bands, who were the first group to successfully straddle both the Christian and mainstream hard music scene at the turn of the last decade. Since their demise in the early '90s, many have speculated and hoped that the band would reform in the recent style of major band reunions over the past few years. Instead, fans have had to make do with various tribute albums, of which Isaiah 53:5..,' is the latest. Comprised of an eclectic blend of musical styles ranging from acoustic ballads (Honeymooned "Call On You") and alternative pop (Dinner Mint's "The World Of You And I" immediately springs to mind), through to traditional metal (Blood N' Fire's take on "Surrender") and even hardcore (One Bad Apple's "You Know What To Do"). Though the idea is commendable, the production quality of these tracks are quite varied, making for a somewhat patchy affair. For die hard fans only.
