Sometimes the Christian record companies don't do themselves any favours. Although they may sense that there is a marketplace for budgetline re-issues of classic worship songs, I've long felt that packaging tracks with no information about who is singing the songs or the source of the original release does a disservice both to the singers involved (who is this case appear to be British session-seasoned stalwarts) and to the public buying such shoddily packaged releases. To state the positive, the songs here are largely top rate - Laura Story's "Indescribable", Chris Tomlin's "Amazing Grace (My Chains Fell Off)", Matt Redman's "10,000 Reasons", MercyMe's "I Can Only Imagine" though technically not a worship song, Paul Baloche's "Hosanna" and Hillsong's "Mighty To Save". But one cannot avoid the obvious. These cover versions are simply not in the same class as the originals.
