Here's a bouncy compilation of tunes from just a few of the plethora of gospel artists to come out of Nigeria lately. Artists featured on this collection include Jawaara, Bobike, Joanne Emi, Precious Okushukwu and Kenny G (not the American pop-jazz saxophonist!). I'll try not to quibble about the fact that so many of the songs on here seem to be about "getting stuff"; hey, God's a provider, right? Nothing wrong in only believing him for what you can get out of the deal for yourself, is there? We all have a destiny, after all... sorry, I said I wouldn't quibble; I'll shut up now. Standout tracks for me were Favour Ndukwe's "Agha" and Jenny Mark's "Godiya", a clever blend of African and Indian music that works really well.
