The inclusion of Carman on a country collection, albeit one minute's worth, smells less like straw and stubble and more like marketing to me. The further addition of acappella masters Acappella (good name!) singing in a field, a Southern gospel Talleys (complete with 200 strong choir and 2000 strong church congregation), and a classic 70s style cabaret act from the legendary ("are they really still alive?") Imperials, adds more than a little confusion to the title but will, if nothing else, make you chuckle! Furthermore, with a rather strange film clip of a man and his two Southern backing belles pushing his big white piano through libraries and flower shops singing "It's Not What You Know, But It's Who You Know", and with one of the only true country tunes (Mid-South) having almost inaudible lyrics, it's quite possible that that chuckle might just last you the whole 30 minutes. However, for true country fans this video is saved right at the last with Bruce Carroll's 'If We Only Had The Heart'. A good video with excellent, thoughtful lyrics and music that reeks of country. The problem is it only serves to highlight what is missing elsewhere.
