You can read about this exciting new venture elsewhere in this issue. Suffice to say here that this set features danceworthy R&B grooves with an underground vibe and some of Britain's finest grassroots gospel talent. Plenty of in your face songs of faith with my favourite cuts being Raymond Dyer's "Come Inside And Look", John Gibbons And Marissa Anglin's "Are You In The Light", Charlene Reid's "Spirit In My Life" and Tyrone Henry's "Time For You And Me" but several other jams will no doubt grow on me. Producer Paul Cumberbatch does an excellent job of catching the British R&B sound of today and let's hope this pioneering album could do an enormous amount in both exposing the public to the huge talent around Britain's black churches and challenging the R&B in crowd to think of spiritual things.
