Subtitled 'A Worldbeat Celebration' this release opens up a lot of intriguing and potentially creatively exciting questions. What will happen when the worshipping churches of the West come into musical contact with the musical churches of Africa? Although the sleeve is rather sparse in its information, it seems that 'the West' is represented here by producer Michael Harriton and various guest vocalists (I particularly liked Tami Fick) and the Kintaudi Family from Zaire are Africa's representatives. The choice of songs could have been better and I'd have preferred a few numĀbers from the repertoire of the Zaire church alongside Terri Harriton's (a relation I assume) hardly remarkable worship material. Plus the whole thing could have been a 5-star tour-de-force if more African rhythms were introduced as well as the haunting Kintaudi harĀmonies. But as a first of hopefully many US (and UK?) Africa praise and worship experiments it isn't bad. And at least Word resisted the temptation to call it Zaire Praise or Gracelands Worship

Hello Pauline, if my memory serves right, the Kintaudi
family performed on that fantastic album. Were you one of
them? I would very much like to own a CD.
