Like the previous compilation 'Prime Cuts', this shows off the fair of Rugged. Originally Rugged were perceived as a heavy metal label, but such specialism is today no longer viable Stateside and as this set shows they are already diversifying. Two cuts from the always wonderful Bride from the 'Drop' album (though surprisingly not the classic "The Devil Wore A White Dress"), Neon Cross and Dale Thompson (the raw voiced frontman of Bride who will be shortly delivering a 'concept blues' set, and Reflescent Tide who play raw, brash alternative rock. Then there are single cuts from singer/songwriter Paul Falzone (try and catch up with his impassioned eponymous album) and rock veteran Ken Tamplin who surprises with a heavy/jazz rock hybrid.
