Kingsway's offer here (a two CD collection; 28 tracks delivering a little over two hours of music) is a compilation of high quality songs based around Easter themes, mixing to excellent effect contemporary well known tracks and artists with equally current-sounding but somewhat less high profile ones. Taking the title of the collection from Ben Cantelon's epic song of the same name (included here on CD one), not only are all the tracks very strong as stand alone items but there is more than sufficient variety of tempo and feel across the piece to make an end-to-end listen an easy and enjoyable undertaking. Artists featured on the album include Tim Hughes, Aaron Keyes, Susan Ashton, Delirious?, Cathy Burton, Lou Fellingham and Soul Survivor. Your average church music group may take the hump slightly that not many of these songs and arrangements can be reproduced by them on a Sunday morning, but the quality of the material here (words, music and performance) cannot be denied.

Product Description

Drawing inspiration from Ben Cantelon’s song Saviour Of The World, this double CD worship set explores the themes of redemption, salvation and the power of the cross.

With old and new sat side by side – from The Servant King by Graham Kendrick to Mighty To Save sung by Cathy Burton – the 28 tracks combine to make for a fresh, powerful encounter. There are plenty of established classics, like Brenton Brown’s Everlasting God, Happy Day by Tim Hughes and I’ve Found Jesus by Delirious?. New discoveries are also on offer, in the form of Rend Collective Experiment’s Exalt, He Reigns by Marc James and Claire Hamilton’s Breathe On Me.
