Supporters of modern gospel music are, judging from the number of compilations being released, keen to keep up to date with the songs and faces on today's black church scene. This 13-song selection offers tracks from veterans like Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurken, Richard Smallwood and Marvin Sapp together with a few of the newer names on the block like Jason Nelson, William Murphy and Crystal Aikin. Favourites on this varied set are Deon Kipping's smooth and soulful "I Already Have It" and the old school choir romp "Jesus" by the Greater Allen Cathedral. If you're a gospel lover and your collection is thin on most of the artists mentioned, this is worth searching out.
