A cursory glance through this review section will confirm the harsh reality that a contract with a major label is a privilege only bestowed on the favored/talented few. Warner Alliance, WEA's gospel arm boasts some the top names in American CCM - in quality terms, these acts are streets ahead of much of the competition. Featured here are two singles apiece from Michael English, The Winans (including their stomping rap 'It's Time') and acappella supremos Take 6, who 'I L-O-V-E U' surely deserves classical status. Also pounding their way to the fore in this distinguished crowd are sizzling dance tracks from Margaret Bell ('Any Day Any Minute Now') and Vince Ebo ('Make It Work'), alongside Patsy Moore's rock/funk masterpiece 'A City On A Hill', while, with a gentler style, Ron David Moore's 'Weary By Now' and I'm Praying For You' from Dick and Mel Tunney, are not easily outclassed. Some of the best - from some of the best.
