To anyone who is desperately trying to keep up with all the latest sanctified dance releases whilst operating within a limited budget, this album must appear as a true God-send! It's a low price sampler (£4.99 CD/£2.99 Cass) that features 72 minutes of non-stop grooving. The World Wide Message Tribe are featured heavily with 11 tracks and there's also smaller contributions from Private Boiz, Sozo, Virus, Rhythm Saints, Raving Loonatics, Prophecy of P.A.N.I.C., Resolution and the 'Nitro Praise' selection. It all begins with a short Scott Blackwell spoken introduction and then we're straight into the action. The choice of tracks is excellent (Rhythm Saints "Elevation" and WWMT's "When The Goes Down" are probably approaching classic status in my view) and the mixing from one track to the next is as seamless as you'd expect from an N-Soul production. Most tracks last around the two-minute mark, the glorious exception being WWMT's new mix of "Zion" (the "I'm On My Way To Manchester" mix!) which clocks in at nearer eight minutes. The only gripe I have is about the packaging. The only track listing is on the CD (not on the cover) and even that doesn't quite match the tracks that actually emerge from your speakers. Also, I didn't hear any tracks from Mindbender, Gina or Limit X, even though these artists are named on the cover. But what's on the album is very, very good indeed. A fine introduction to sanctified dance and the work of N-Soul in particular.
