Compilation albums never cease to amaze me! With tracks by The Cathedrals, The Happy Goodmans, The Nelons, The Florida Boys and The Talleys, it is obviously aimed at the older end of the Southern Gospel market. I particularly liked the two tracks by The Goodmans, "God Walks The Dark Hills" and "The Lighthouse". There are 12 tracks in total, nine by the above and three completely out of character!: "I Am Not Ashamed by Janet Paschal, a very fine version of "Behold The Lamb" by the redoubtable David Phelps and the remaining track "Here Come The Rattlesnakes" by Wendy Bagwell (a man!) And The Sunliters. The latter is unlike anything I have ever heard! It is basically a comedy track recorded live in Atlanta, and even by the standards of much wince-inducing American Christian comedy is absolutely awful! To sum up, there is some decent vintage Southern gospel here, but I doubt whether there will be too many UK fans enjoying the rattlesnakes comedy.
