These days, the good people of Integrity Music are the home of worship music and so when it goes to gathering the cream of recent worship repertoire and releasing the tracks as a double CD, there are plenty of goodies from which to select. If you're passionate about modern worship, you'll probably have most of these cuts from popular worship teams like Worship Central, Soul Survivor, Planetshakers and the like. So you get songs like "The Flood", "Say The Word" and "The Same Power" and the chance to be introduced to some lesser known songs which makes this a useful collection for worship teams to check out for ideas and inspiration. I still love the original version of "God's Great Dance Floor" from Martin Smith - I still feel inspired daily by "Back To The Start". I like the way Graham Kendrick has teamed up Rend Collective to re-imagine "The Servant King". The only disappointment is that after listening to two CDs of this stuff, it just all sounds very samey. Occasionally, there's something which sounds a bit different like Aaron Keyes' "Praise Him" which has a less stereotypical approach and I'm glad for a bit of relief. Overall, this is a good summary of some of the best modern worship songs and performances but I do wish that more worship leaders would come along and do something fresh and original with their arrangements/production rather than just rehashing the "worship sound" that's already out there!
