My pre-recorded video gave the impression that the masters weren't available for the British PAL format so someone simply used a home recorder and linked it to a playback machine via an aerial lead instead of Scart. Basically, the picture quality is dreadful. The sound fares a little better however. Then there is the title - surely they mean 2001? If you listen to Cross Rhythms radio there are some tracks that you will know (Superchic(k), The Elms, dc Talk, Rebecca St James) but also included are artists that are made for people with a different musical taste. Track four features the "band" Jump5. To me they represent everything that is bad about American CCM and that is. . exploitation. They are kids pretending to be adults. What do they know about life? Let them at least finish primary school first! The third track "My Hope Is You" is a live recording which in context to the rest of the gig would be fine. However seeing Mac Powell repeating each line for the benefit of the audience just doesn't work on a compilation. To summarise, someone has to think seriously about the reasons why this was released and the artists that are on it.
