Drawing together individuals and bands from across the world including Vicky Beeching, ALM:UK, !Audacious, Paul Baloche, Deluge and Gateway Worship, this is a mixed collection of songs looking at different facets of the presence of God. Vicky Beeching's rousing opener "One Day" is a jubilant cry from a global viewpoint and has an infectious chorus and bridge that linger long after the final notes fade. In contrast to this is the intimate "You Won't Relent" from Misty Edwards which begins by drawing you into a quieter, more personal, attitude of surrender with lyrics that call out from the heart. After drawing you into a quieter place the chorus builds into powerful, punching guitars and drums that feel like your soul is calling out. The songs are all taken from other albums released over the past five years and manage to express the theme in very individual manners. That is the strength of this compilation, but it is also its weakness as there are times when the cohesiveness of the songs can feel a bit forced and unnatural. As a showcase of worship musicians across the world, and a taster of songs that look into the overall presence, this works well enough.
